Our Trustees

We know some of you don't know us, but we'd like you to so here's a bit of background of the people supporting the JCC school and orphanage

nicholas bailey

Nicholas is the chair of our board of directors and keeps us all on the straight and narrow. He chairs our board meetings efficiently and keeps us all on task, something we definitely need when we have such big dreams!

Nicholas has a background in risk management for insurance companies but now that he is retired, he keeps himself busy with golf and travel but mainly with making sure Lilomi is focused on its goals.

kathleen shaw

Kathleen worked in retail buying and production before moving to Tearfund (DEC Int aid & development charity) as their trusts and business manager: she has travelled in Southern and Eastern Africa for work and with family.

Kathleen has a great heart for children: she and her husband Andy have four of their own and are very active in their local church and community. Her experience in the commercial, charitable, public and voluntary sectors make her a great all round asset to our team.

miriam klinke

Miriam is a lawyer from Germany by profession where she was the equivalent of a District Judge and the mother of three beautiful children. She offers her time in her community whilst raising her three children and assisting her husband with his own business. She is a brilliant member of the team and often sees things that the rest of us miss!

andrew shaw

Andy is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and a partner in a commercial property practice in Richmond.  As well running a business and being a father of four, he is full of energy and is always ready to get stuck in. He is practically minded and a brilliant member of the team who brings ideas and enthusiasm to everything that we do.
