Bethany Davies has been travelling to Sierra Leone since 2005 and moved there permanently in 2016 with her Sierra Leonean husband, Winston and their three young children. Winston is the director of Jonathan's Child Care (JCC) school and family support centre. In 2018 Bethany founded Lilomi to raise money to make improvements to JCC and give the children a shot at a better future.

Bethany and Winston live in Bo and are at JCC with the children seven days a week. This means that Lilomi has the great advantage that we get to truly understand the needs of our beneficiaries and have greater oversight of how our donor's money meets the children it is intended for.
